Physical Therapy Assistant Job in Hadley, MA
Aegis Physical Therapy is hiring for a physical therapy assistant job in Hadley, MA, and we’re looking for a licensed PTA who wants to help patients move better, work alongside physical therapists, and keep building their skills in a physical therapist owned practice. You’ll treat patients at our clinic on Russell Street (Route 9), where one-on-one care has been the heart of our work since 2003.
Hands-On Care at Our Hadley Clinic
Our practice is owned by Lisa Sanderson, MS, PT, and our approach is simple: personal attention, hands-on treatment, and a team that cares whether patients reach their goals. As a PTA here, you’ll carry out the plan of care a physical therapist has established, using exercise, massage, manual therapy, electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, laser therapy, and the Graston Technique. Our patients come to us for everything from back, neck, and shoulder pain to pre- and post-surgical rehab and joint replacement recovery, so your days are rooted in real orthopedic work.
Our Hadley clinic is clean, warm, and comfortable, with private treatment rooms available. Our doors open at 7 a.m. on weekdays, with appointments until 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, so patients can fit care around work and school. You’ll greet every patient in a friendly manner, encourage them to do their best, and explain their treatment plan and home exercise program in clear, simple terms. When it helps, you’ll send the home exercise program electronically so patients can keep going between visits.
Supervision, Collaboration, and Room to Grow
You’ll work under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist and report to the Director of Physical Therapy. You’ll consult with a physical therapist at least weekly about each patient’s progress, and you’ll collect data and objective measures for reassessments. A physical therapist reviews and signs off on them before they go to the referring doctor, so you always know where your patients stand.
We want you to keep learning, too. Massachusetts requires 24 hours of continuing education every two years for licensure, and we expect you to keep improving your skills and knowledge. Two years of orthopedic clinical experience is preferred but not required, so if you’re earlier in your career, we still want to hear from you. You’ll also have the chance to promote the physical therapy profession in our community through marketing and community education, and the role comes with a flexible schedule and paid time off.
Compensation:
- Starting at $30 per hour
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Paid time off
If you’re a PTA who wants to treat patients one-on-one alongside supportive physical therapists, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us a little about yourself and the kind of care you want to give.
