The staff at Aegis recommends keeping your weight as close as possible to your ideal body weight range. We know how challenging it can be with a busy schedule or if you are working from home/quarantined. You are not alone. Even the staff at Aegis works hard to constantly balance activity and food intake. We do know that having less body mass and not being overweight is important for many facets of your health. It is super important for joint health. If you have arthritis, losing weight and getting fit is an excellent first line of defense in battling the arthritis. If you are overweight, less poundage on your abdominal area also will significantly decrease back pain.
To that end we recommend a vegetable and fruit based diet with some protein at meals. We also love to substitute the paleocleanse – a pea based protein shake from Designs for Health. We find that the shake is tasty and filling! It also seems to help control hunger. Use the Paleocleanse or Paleomeal to substitute for lunch or breakfast or both to help lose weight. We also love the P. B. Meal Bar as a replacement – it is tasty, only 200 calories and can substitute for any meal with only 2g of sugar and 12g of protein.
